يسلّط هذا الكتاب الضوء على عصارة الفكر الجنبلاطي وتجربة كمال جنبلاط ومواقفه من القضايا العربّية وفي مقدمتها القضية اللبنانية ، كذلك دوره في مختلف المحطّات من تاريخ لبنان والمنطقة العربية في الفترة ما بين العام 1953 حتى تاريخ استشهاده في 16 آذار 1977، وهي الحقبة التي عايشه فيها الصحافي والمناضل السياسي ورجل الدولة محسن دلول. استنادًا إلى علاقته اللصيقة به طوال تلك السنوات، يتناول دلول في كتابه هذا فصول الحرب الأهلية اللبنانية المشؤومة، من أسباب اندلاعها إلى مسار تطورها، من زاوية مواقف جنبلاط منها في كلّ محطة من محطّاتها حتى تاريخ استشهاده، وأدوار الوساطة التي قام بها باستمرار مع القادة المحليين والعرب لمحاولة احتوائها.This book highlights the essence of the Jumblatt ideology as well as Kamal Jumblatt’s experience and positions in regard to Arab causes with the Lebanese cause at their forefront. It also underlines the role he played throughout different parts of Lebanese history and in the Arab region from 1953 up to his assassination on the 16th of March 1977, the period during which he was well-acquainted with the journalist, political activist and statesman Mohsen Dalloul.In this book, and based on the intimate relationship he had with Jumblatt during those years, Dalloul tackles the disastrous Lebanese civil war from the causes of its onset to the course of its development; and from Jumblatt’s viewpoint during each of its stages until his assassination. Dalloul also evokes the mediation role Jumblatt continuously carried out with both local and Arab leaders in an effort to contain the war.
