مرّة أخرى، يكتب وضّاح شرارة رواية جديدة هي سميّة، بعد تجربته الروائية الأولى أمس اليوم. وضّاح الذي يعتبر واحداً من أبرز الأكاديميين والكتّاب والمثقّفين اللبنانيين، وأكثرهم غزارة وحضوراً منذ السبعينيات حتى اليوم، تفرّغ طوال عقود إلى نشر الكتب النقديّة في مجالات الاجتماع والسياسة والثقافة. وفي حين يخوض مجال الرواية، بلغته المتفرّدة، فإنه ينتقي شخصيّات تنتمي إلى حقبات اجتماعيّة غنيّة بتحوّلاتها. سميّة رميزان، بطلة روايته الجديدة، هي ابنة المدينة، لكنها أيضاً ابنة بعض تحوّلاتها الاجتماعيّة التي تترك أثراً كبيراً على شخصيّتها. تترك المدينة من أجل وظيفة وزواج، قبل أن تقرّر العودة إليها نهائيّاً. يتتبع الكاتب حياتها، بتفاصيلها اليوميّة، وبالقرارات التي اتخذتها في علاقاتها الزوجية والعائليّة والوظيفيّة... إنه بورتريه فردي لسميّة كابنة وكزوجة وكامرأة عاملة، لكنه كلّما أوغل بعمقٍ في شخصيّتها، طاول مشاغل مشتركة لجيل كامل من النساء. استرخى جسم الأمّ لحظةً، ظنّت سميّة أنّ أمّها، في الأثناء، أُغمي عليها، على ما كان يحدث في الأسابيع الأولى بعد ولاداتها المجهدة والمتقاربة. ونعتت سميّة نفسها بالشؤم، لعنتها وهي تحوط كتفي أمّها وصدرها، وتحسّ نعومة القماش الذي خيّط ثوبها به، وتشمّ ماء الورد الذي تغمس فيه الأمّ القطن صباحاً، وتمسح به مسحاً خفيفاً جانبَي جبهتها وأذنَيها وأعلى رقبتها. وانتابها غثيانٌ خفيفٌ قبل أن يغشاها الهلع حين بدا لها أنّ جسم أمّها كلّه ليِّن، ويكاد يفتقر إلى العظام وصلابتها. Once again, Waddah Sharara writes a new novel entitled 'Sumaya' after his first experience with 'Yesterday Today' (Ams Al Yawm). Waddah, who is considered one of the major Lebanese academics, writers, and intellectuals, and the most zealous and prominent one from the seventies to present time, has dedicated all his efforts, for the past decades, to publishing criticism books in the fields of sociology, politics, and culture. While he takes on the novel-writing experience with his unique linguistic style, he selects characters who belong to socially rich eras that went through transformations. Sumaya Ramizan is the hero of his new novel; city girl, she is heavily impacted by some of its social changes. She leaves the city in pursuit of employment and marriage, but soon decides to return for good. The author follows the details of her life, tracking what goes on with her on the daily, and the decisions she makes within her marriage, her family, and her job...
