أتاني وجهه مغبّشاً، لا يتبدّى منه سوى نظرةٍ سوداء حادّة، وأثر سكّين في خدّه الأيسر. تبّاً لهذا السكّين! ألا يزال هنا، منغرزاً في ذاكرتي؟ ويدي؟ لمَ لا تزال إلى اليوم ترتجف كلّما تذكّرت لحظة طعنته في وجهه؟ من أين أتيت بالسكّين يومها، وبكلّ تلك الجرأة وذلك التوحّش؟ لا أدري... لا أذكر سوى الطعنة... وسكيّنٌ علق في عمق خدّه وسلبني هدوئي، وعينيه المذهولتين، إذ غطّى الدم وجهه، واعتلى الصراخ في فضاء الغرفة. أذكر أيضاً أنّهم احتجزوني يومها في قبوٍ صغير معتمٍ، وتركوني هناك، بمفردي، ليلةً كاملة، أبكي وأصرخ وأنتحب، محاولاً أن أقنعهم بأنّ طوني هو من بدأ الاعتداء، وأنّي كنت أدافع عن نفسي فقط...His face drew near, disfigured, revealing nothing but an intense, black gaze and a knife scar etched on his left cheek. That cursed knife! It’s still lodged in my memory, and in my hand... why does it continue to tremble even now, whenever I recall the moment I stabbed him in the face? Where did I find the audacity and savagery to wield that knife that day? I can’t say... all I can recall is the stab and the knife buried deep in his cheek, stealing my composure, his eyes filled with shock as blood covered his face, and the room echoed with screams. I also remember that they held me captive that day in a small dark basement, leaving me there alone for an entire night, weeping, shouting, and sobbing, trying desperately to convince them that Tony had initiated the attack, and I had only acted in self-defence...
