مساحة الكلمة عند إملي نصرالله لا تحدّها حدود. الزمان والمكان يرافقانها، يحملان حقائبها في سفر دائم؛ من القرية إلى المدينة، ومن زمن العربة إلى زمن النفّاثة. إنّها مساحة الرحلة الدائمة على الصفحات، وفي الأصقاع والأجواء، إلى حيث يحطّ بساط الريح. ويبدو أنّه هذه المرّة، قد حطّ على بساط الثلج، حيث يبدأ العالم أو قُلْ حيث ينتهي... هناك حيث تظلّ الشمس عائمة على الأفق ستّة أشهر، هي مدّة زيارتها الطويلة البخيلة، وحيث يعانق وشاح الليل بساطًا أبيض في رقصة رماديّة مدّة ستّة أشهر، أقامت الكاتبة فترة في كنف جليديّ دافئ، وبين أناس يرتدون حُلّتين، إحداهما من التّراث والأخرى من حضارة العصر. لكنّ رحلة إملي نصرالله لا تنتهي، هي مستمرّة أمام الأعين، وعلى الشفاه المتمتمة بصمت، حيث تتحوّل الكلمات إلى صُوَر، هي حياة الإنسان على هذه الأرض.The realm of words knows no limits of time and place when Emily Nasrallah spells them out. It continues in front of the eyes and on the lips that silently murmur, where words transform into images, representing the life of a human on this Earth.
