Neste livro, desenvolvemos um novo método de reconhecimento conjunto de padrões que combina uma análise baseada em padrões de rede com uma análise baseada em sequências de actividade. Utilizamos as vantagens de ambos os métodos para criar grupos de padrões que têm homogeneidade de padrões distintos dentro deles e heterogeneidade entre padrões. A primeira parte da análise aplica aqui uma abordagem mais tradicional para identificar padrões de rede únicos, com 16 deles a capturarem 83,05% dos dados do dia de trabalho NHTS de 2017. A análise multivariada dos dados de padrões agrupados mostra uma preferência diferente pelos estudantes, trabalhadores a tempo parcial, reformados, teletrabalhadores, motoristas, mulheres e jovens adultos. Na segunda parte da análise, os motivos são agrupados em categorias de acordo com o número de lugares que uma pessoa visita num dia e a sua correlação com a utilização do tempo e a viagem é explorada. A utilização do tempo e as viagens são analisadas com base numa identificação do modelo de atribuição de tempo minuto a minuto.
