This is a collection of new and preserved poetry, with aspects highlighting times in the writer’s life that may have changed the narrative. The works are from digital archives and notebooks the author scanned and transcribed herself. Whether it was scribbling and typing a new creation that day, or dusting off coils to convert the words unspoken, many of the poems inside this personal chest of rare finds and fresh starts, are raw and barely edited. Kimberly Roy designed this book herself in a short period of time for a writing challenge. BookLeaf Publishing produced the hardcopies you hold today. This was a project that became more about salvaging the selections than of perfecting their collage. On the contrary to seeming unfinished, the overall structure and rhythm carries rhymes sometimes, and tune for good measure. Brought forward are refined principles mixed with the rap of an extroverted introvert, styled by an artist to many. This book of Kimberly Roy’s 21 selected poems entitled Unspoken, is painted by her truth, experience, insight, and ideas. These are the pages she never said, even though she is known for great banter. It is with great joy that Roy shares this eloquent emergence with every single one of her supporters and beyond.
