La educación superior es clave para formar ciudadanos con conocimientos, valores, ética y responsabilidad social. Por ello, las universidades deben ser socialmente responsables, formando profesionales íntegros comprometidos con el desarrollo del país y la inclusión social.El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar las prácticas de vinculación con el medio en seis carreras de la Universidad Santo Tomás (UST) Santiago, evidenciando la Responsabilidad Social Universitaria (RSU) en gestión, docencia, investigación y extensión. Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica sobre RSU y entrevistas semiestructuradas a seis participantes de las carreras seleccionadas.Los resultados muestran que existen prácticas de vinculación organizadas en curriculares y extracurriculares. Estas últimas permiten que los estudiantes interactúen con la comunidad, asesorados por el área de Aprendizaje y Servicio (AS), y cada carrera desarrolla actividades específicas según su enfoque académico.
