Lo scopo di questo libro è quello di indagare le sfide affrontate dal governo guidato dall’African National Congress per sradicare la disuguaglianza economica nel KSDM nell’era post-apartheid. Durante il periodo dell’apartheid, i neri erano discriminati dai bianchi. I neri sono stati trattati come stupidi, in quanto è stato loro negato l’accesso a un’istruzione di qualità, all’informazione, a un’occupazione formale, a un’equa distribuzione delle risorse economiche, a un uguale reddito pro capite e a un uguale trattamento in termini di posizioni lavorative. Tutte queste circostanze sono state il risultato della disuguaglianza economica che esiste fino ad oggi. Questo libro ha applicato il disegno qualitativo come approccio di ricerca per rendere il processo di raccolta dei dati un successo con dati approfonditi, validi e affidabili. In questo libro, la popolazione è KSD. La popolazione target è costituita dai funzionari del KDM e dai residenti del KSD. I partecipanti sono stati selezionati utilizzando un campionamento non probabilistico in cui la popolazione è sconosciuta e i partecipanti sono sconosciuti; il ricercatore ha scelto solo il luogo in cui si prevede che si verifichino gli eventi studiati.
