Lo studio ha preso in considerazione l’efficienza relativa delle banche private indiane. Ai fini della ricerca sono state prese in considerazione sia le banche private di vecchia generazione sia quelle di nuova generazione. Le efficienze relative sono state identificate sulla base dei dati disponibili nei bilanci delle banche. Le banche selezionate tra quelle del settore privato indiano sono state identificate e 25 indici sono stati presi in considerazione per lo studio. La ricerca confronta le banche su 25 indici chiave. Le banche sono state classificate per ogni rapporto in base al grado di efficienza mostrato. Poiché la performance delle banche non è uniforme tra i vari indici, la ricerca analizza l’efficienza complessiva utilizzando l’approccio della data envelopment analysis.
