He is also recognized as a great deliverer, lover of good, supporter of mankind, and a generally good companion. The Christian opts to address this second image of God,the beneficent. The author has struggled with the definition and nature of God all his life. He has found that he can question God and acknowledge his/her dark side while at the same time love God and bask in his presence and love. Here is a new kind of spiritual journey -- intellectually honest and committed in faith.
