Thus, the study of ethics is part of the path to becoming a more capable person in the many areas of life.Full Description: Το θέμα της ηθικής συζητήθηκε από τους αρχαίους φιλοσόφους και συνεχίζει να συζητείται σήμερα, διότι, αν και αγνοείται από πολλούς, διαπερνά τον πυρήνα των αλληλεπιδράσεών μας και είναι παρόν στις επιλογές που κάνουμε και στον τρόπο με τον οποίο αυτές οι επιλογές μας επηρεάζουν. Θα μπορούσαμε ακόμη να πούμε ότι η ηθική είναι το ελληνικό αντίστοιχο της μελέτης της ινδικής έννοιας του ντάρμα, ή της κατανόησης της σχέσης μεταξύ των αιτιών, της συνείδησης και των αποτελεσμάτων τους. Η μελέτη της ηθικής δεν είναι απλώς μια μελέτη της ηθικής, αλλά μια σημαντική πρόοδος προς τη δική μας συνείδηση. Όσο περισσότερα γνωρίζουμε για το τι μας κάνει ηθικούς ή ανήθικους, τόσο καλύτερες θα είναι οι επιλογές μας και τόσο πιο κοντά θα είμαστε σε μια ζωή με νόημα και χαρά.
