Ce travail propose un dialogue entre Hegel et Goethe à travers une lecture analytique-comparative de L’apprentissage de Wilhelm Meister de Goethe et de la Phénoménologie de l’esprit de Hegel. L’Apprentissage est né du roman de formation issu du mouvement Sturm und Drang (Tempête et élan) lié au romantisme dans la seconde moitié du XVIIIe siècle en Allemagne. Dans cette œuvre, le parcours du jeune Meister au cours de ses années d’apprentissage présente un contexte littéraire qui permet de comprendre comment la conscience du jeune homme s’est développée dans la perspective du parcours de la conscience de soi dans la phénoménologie. En ce sens, le développement de la conscience de soi du jeune Meister à travers ses expériences permet une rencontre féconde entre la philosophie idéaliste de Hegel et la texture poétique de Goethe.
