أيّهما يسرد لنا هذه الحكاية؟ وهل هناك فارق حقًّا بين أن تكون الراوية أمل أو سراب؟ أيًّا كانت من تروي، فكلتاهما تحكي من الهاوية. وللهاوية هيئاتٌ مختلفةٌ في رواية غرق السلمون، القعر هو سمتها المشتركة التي تظهر كبعدٍ وحيد لسطوة القمع العائليّ والسياسيّ. ففي العائلة، تبدأ الثورة قبل أوانها ضدّ قبضة الأب الذي يشكّل حكمه العائليّ نموذجًا مصغّرًا عمّا هي الحال عليه في سوريا.في هذه الرواية، تضع الممثّلة والكاتبة السوريّة واحة الراهب شخوص روايتها أمام أسئلة ومآزق مختلفة، أبرزها سؤال الهويّة الذي لا ينفكّ يمتحن إنسانيّتهم، وهم يهمّون بالتحوّل إلى مسوخ... أو يهربون من خياراتهم المحتّمة بالقفز في المجهول. وبموازاة الأحداث الشخصيّة، يمرّ السرد على أحداثٍ عالميةٍ وعربيّة، منها اشتعال برجَي مركز التجارة العالميّ، وولادة الثورة السوريّة بكلّ ما تحمله من أحلامٍ بالحريّة ومن خيباتٍ لاحقة، وصولاً إلى مواجهة الأجساد لمصائرها في البحر خلال هجراتها المحتّمةرواية جميلة وحقيقيّة، تمتلك كلّ عناصر السرد الروائيّ. شفافيّة واحة الراهب وإرثها الفنّي يمنحانها صدقًا في السرد، والتقاط الشخصيّات التي تمرّ بنا يوميًا دون أن نكترث بها.الروائيّ السوريّ خيري الذهبي - عن حاجز لكفن''Which of them narrates this tale to us?
