'This work is the result of a thorough scientific-historical investigation related to the sinking of the German submarine U-176 that occurred in the waters of the San Nicolas Channel, Cuba, on May 15th, 1943, as a result of the actions of the Cuban Submarine Chaser CS -13. This report shows and details the technical work carried out to establish and specify the current resting place of the wreck, thus facilitating its search, location and filming. For this investigation, various archival sources were consulted, among which the National Archives and Records Administration- (United States) and the Deutsches U-Boot Museum in Cuxhaven-Altenbruch, (Germany) , stand out, in addition to other sources. Remarkable is the scientific rigor of this investigation, the first undertaken for the location of this wreck, where the high level and experience of its authors in these issues is appreciated. Said report constitutes, according to experts in the matter, a powerful and indispensable tool for the execution of this underwater archaeological prospection'
