Why do Christians believe what they believe? The early Christians contested their theology for 300 years in Greek and Roman Hellenistic culture. Not surprisingly, the educated Christian, priest, and bishop developed his theology based on what everyone knew to be true: Hellenistic science and Middle Platonism taught at school and university. We now know what was taught and where the Christian theologian started his quest to understand Jesus and the Bible. In Two Souls and a Body: What Every Educated Person Knew to Be True and How the Educated Christian Developed Christianity in Hellenistic Times, Creating the Ideas of Free Will and Modern Psychology, you will discover what was accepted from Hellenistic culture, what was changed, and what was rejected to develop Christian theology. You will learn how to lead the truly Christian life according to the Early Church. On the cover, John Chrysostom (Goldenmouth), doctor of the Catholic Church and chief theologian of the Orthodox Church. Protestants consider him the finest preacher of all time and the founder of the 12 Step Movement. He looks back to Plato and Aristotle and points to the Bible where they need to be corrected. Christ came in the fullness of time (Galatians 4:4) when the best of Greek thought and Jewish revelation were joined. I want to make the 'fullness of time' message clear and understandable in a fun way. You will learn what the Jews, Greeks, and Romans believed at the time of Jesus and know how to read the New Testament.Don’t like philosophy? Forever, a scifi trilogy in one volume, dramatizes every nuance in Two Souls with the help of Dostoevsky. The T-Rexes from space represent the matriarchal society of pre-archaic Greece and battle Earth’s robots! Too long? Witches Tales will be out soon.
