About the book:This is a book in 'Masnavi' and is composed of 1038 couplets about love, sex, romance, and social and philosophical subjects. It is presented in four seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter, indicating the mental and emotional growth of a person in his life, a person who can be a part of ourselves. This book is not written solely as an erotica book. The content distinguishes carefully between eroticism and an honest description of natural human feelings. It is a new point of view on life and its beauties, a philosophy that is different from the ones in traditional Persian literature, adopted with the modern lifestyle, describing the hard life of the people in the Persian-culture region in this era. It demonstrates the ups and downs, confusions, happiness, sadness, and difficulties that such a person can deal with in her or his life. The language of the poems is simple and fluent and can make the reader encounter her or his deep memories and feelings, sometimes with pure joy, smile, and hope, sometimes with deep thoughts and contemplation in meanings, sometimes with sexual obsessions in a restricted society, sometimes with sorrow and regret, and sometimes with reminding sweet and nostalgic memories. This book is an honest presentation of the emotional feelings and experiences inside many of us. The protagonist of the book sings, sometimes merges with the reader (and author), and sometimes stands in opposition. About writing the book:I wrote the poems in this book in spring 2020 in Ankara, Turkey. At that time, I was 39 years old, and I was enjoying the beautiful green region of the Middle East Technical University (ODTÜ), which was a great place for me to be alone and happy. I was mainly alone because the university was closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and I started to write the songs at the beginning of that spring. The book, which includes 20 songs in four seasons, was finished on June 20, 2020. However, the poems were gradually corrected and revisited with the help of one of my friends, who has been one of the most inspiring people to start and complete the book.Print: colored printing inside, paper 70lb, cover matte.Poet personal website: https://www.kamalhajian.comhttps://www.kamalhajian.com/fa/poem.html

‘There’s a touch of both Dickinson and Larkin in Jennifer Chrystie’s mature exhumation of the tales and tropes of family. Figures who could so easily flit like phantoms in her well honed poetry are palpably enjoying an after-life in the poet’s ability to redeem through deep understanding. The collection arcs from, at one extreme, the parsimonies of the household, to the transce...

    Edward V Bonner
The very title of Edward V. Bonner's first volume of poetry, One Kiss (Ingram, 2015), suggests some ways in which the poems inside balance the universal with the particular. Most of the poems examine the themes of beauty and risk, pleasure and danger, in the context of one of three kinds of relationships: to romantic partners, to the spiritual world, and to the world of nature....

In his interpretation of Antigone, Seamus Heaney says, ‘Nobody can be sure they are always right.’ Maureen O’Shaughnessy’s The Truth about A further attends to this idea through various readings of the myth as portrayed by Sophocles, Brecht, Ted Hughes, Anne Carson and, most particularly, Euripides.
