Meera Sobarun lives in Switzerland and writing is her passion: 'My mind and inner voice are always at work. Through my novel, I feel I am giving a new dimension to my writing, conveying my thoughts to the whole world, reaching the sensitive souls.' Two Foreigners in Switzerland depicts the story of Jennifer and James, two foreigners finding their way in Switzerland where circulates the language of fortune and social recognition. They are both liberal young adults, rejecting outright certain dogmas and practices that frame their world of duality. Truth is truth, even if it hurts. The challenge lies in their ability to turn weaknesses into strengths and threats into opportunities to build a better life. While James is rebuilding his life from scratch, putting aside his tumultuous past, Jennifer, near to being a perfectionist, is already well settled but still too careful as far as love affair is concerned. A bud of love springs between James and Jennifer, an extreme love scenario that is blacklisted as 'scandalous and revolting' in the eyes of their posh society. The irony is that Jennifer finds herself developing love feeling for a perfect stranger who later reveals himself as a man of 'worst social characters'. Characters that she has always condemned and repulsed. Jennifer wonders how, why and when this love has happened? May be it is an ill fate over her big-headedness. Love is certainly blind. Only Cupid knows how to play tricks with mixed feelings of sweetness, dream, trust, misunderstanding, compassion, tragedy and new hope in the name of love. The questions that remain: Whether Jennifer and James are really made for each other? Whether they will succeed over all obstacles of their forbidden love? And who is Henry, waiting at the crossroad of their destiny in Switzerland?

Stuart Evans’s first novel is a comedy-of-ill-manners set in a nouveau riche milieu: a fantastic satirical performance and hyper-referential homage to masters past and present. Paul Keller is the Stephen Dedalus of the piece, the son of Robert and Sylvie, whose internal monologue is spliced into the action, and whose incestuous feelings for his sister lead to an increase in his...
