Four short stories. The first is of an alcoholic man who finds a place to rest in a broken down shelter..He has bad dreams and ghosts appear of his wife and mother in law, they have come to haunt him. The second story is a love affair with greed. Heather is married to a wealthy club owner who is much older than her and she meets a younger man . Together they find a way of dispatching with the club owner and Heather is now the sole owner. The young man Colin, marrys her and on their honeymoon the tables are turned. The third story starts with a dinner party in an old village hall which is known to be haunted. The hall was hired for amusement purposes but when one of the visitors goes missing, the fear steps in. The fourth story. A loving wife goes to a party with a girl friend , they have a passionate relationship and hide it from her husband. He arrived home unexpectedly early and found them both together locked in an embrace .His anger was beyond words and I am not about to tell you any more.
