When you come from a family of preachers, folks expect you to have one thing on your mind. For Cole Adams, however, that one thing was baseball. Nothing was going to stop him.  Not the bully who wants him gone. Not an injury that holds him back. Not even his own lousy aim and humiliating strikeouts. In Turnaround, Cole knows when God throws you a curveball, you use it. His curveball will take him to the major leagues, if he keeps swinging. And fortitude and faith will set him on a path to dream even bigger. Uplifting and inspiring, Turnaround is more than the story of a boy who loves baseball. Cole builds his world around learning to play. In doing so, he learns how to love and serve the world around him.   Turnaround was author Harbert Alexander’s first fiction novel, written over three years, and reflects his life as a small boy who wanted to play baseball. He finished the novel shortly before his death in April 2022.

Stuart Evans’s first novel is a comedy-of-ill-manners set in a nouveau riche milieu: a fantastic satirical performance and hyper-referential homage to masters past and present. Paul Keller is the Stephen Dedalus of the piece, the son of Robert and Sylvie, whose internal monologue is spliced into the action, and whose incestuous feelings for his sister lead to an increase in his...
