Introdução: Os tumores das células germinativas do ovário são tumores ováricos raros. O grau de malignidade difere entre os diferentes tipos histológicos. Material e métodos: O nosso estudo é um estudo retrospetivo descritivo e analítico realizado em Sousse durante um período de 21 anos e que envolveu 30 casos. Objectivos: Analisar as particularidades dos tumores malignos das células germinativas do ovário. Resultados: A idade média das nossas pacientes era de 22 anos. O tempo médio de consulta foi inferior a 6 meses. O motivo da consulta foi a dor abdomino-pélvica. A ecografia abdominopélvica mostrou uma massa ecogénica heterogénea. A cirurgia linfonodal foi efectuada em apenas 10% dos nossos doentes. O estadio I foi predominante em 17 doentes. O tratamento complementar à cirurgia, sob a forma de poli-quimioterapia, foi indicado em 24 doentes. A sobrevida média foi de 94 meses. CONCLUSÃO: A cirurgia desempenha um papel importante no tratamento dos tumores malignos de células germinativas do ovário.
