Recibí mi licencia de arquitectura en 2009, en ese momento, era una de las primeras 500 arquitectas afroamericanas con licencia en los Estados Unidos de América de una profesión de poco más de 219 000 arquitectos registrados (0,002 %). Este número es demasiado bajo. Mi libro de cuentos y mi libro para colorear son un testimonio de mi trayectoria en esta profesión. Tengo la esperanza de que generen conciencia e inspiración para la próxima generación de futuros arquitectos.
