Troika is a present-day political and espionage thriller exploring secrecy, power, and the limits of international law.On the far side of the Moon, hidden within the Aitken Basin, a secret research base named Troika has been established. Constructed through a covert alliance of the United States, Russia, and several European nations, its goal is ambitious: a universal vaccine to prevent future pandemics, code-named Project Eos.  Eos is run by PMZ Biotech and operated remotely by a revolutionary AI designed by world-leading computer systems engineer, Sammy Lee, who is known for pushing the boundaries of science and law. Although the program promises immense global benefit, its existence violates international treaties, and the greatest risk lies not in its technology but in the reaction of excluded powers, especially China.Uncovering the base through a clandestine global network, a group of women scientists known as the Pleiades, led by Oxford academic Dr. Tina Christophorou, confronts the ethical and political dilemmas of AI, biotechnology, and space exploration. Their attempts to halt Troika through the United Nations are deliberately stalled, forcing them to take direct action while navigating a shadowy world of intrigue, espionage, and high-stakes diplomacy.

Stuart Evans’s first novel is a comedy-of-ill-manners set in a nouveau riche milieu: a fantastic satirical performance and hyper-referential homage to masters past and present. Paul Keller is the Stephen Dedalus of the piece, the son of Robert and Sylvie, whose internal monologue is spliced into the action, and whose incestuous feelings for his sister lead to an increase in his...
