Over the past number of years, circumstances have been challenging but I have found the all-time best way to deal with that has been through writing. And so ’snatches’ was born. It practises the discipline of taking a difficult situation and finding strength and light within it.  My hope is that my putting thoughts on paper/screen will point the way to live with trouble but also see a way out of it. I have found the whole process beneficial to me, and hopefully to anyone who reads it. I have grouped my posts under the key themes that I/we all have been living with:HealthI was diagnosed with relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis in 2005. At the beginning this label would be easily ignored or hidden. Sadly as time went on that became harder to do.ParentingMy two (17 and 15) present different blessings and challenges but always inspiration. NatureI only have to look out a window here to see something, a gift, from Nature to talk about. EncouragementEvery week I am surprisingly given a positive thought to share. I am sure those thoughts are heaven-sent because many times I have no idea what I am going to write about, right up to the day before! PandemicWhen lockdown took us all by surprise in 2020, it became necessary to find courage and resilience to cope. So, I kept writing and lit a candle to show commitment to everyone most hit by the pandemic.FaithThrough everything, every struggle, every challenge, faith in a God who is always there and carries us through it all is the lynchpin of my writing. At the beginning I was tentative but as time went on I learnt that my faith was the main thing that carried me through it all and realised that it was foolish to pretend otherwise.
