As fraturas do capítulo são raras. O tratamento cirúrgico evoluiu para fixação interna com parafusos canulados ou enterrados, permitindo a redução anatómica e a mobilização precoce.Realizamos um estudo retrospectivo unicêntrico durante um período de 6 anos, com foco no tratamento cirúrgico das fraturas do capítulo.A nossa série inclui 22 doentes com uma idade média de 42,77 anos. A proporção entre os sexos é de 0,57. O cotovelo direito foi o mais afetado (60% dos casos). Segundo a classificação de Brayn e Morrey, o tipo I foi o mais comum (45%)A osteossíntese com parafusos corticais 3,5 foi realizada em 76% dos casos. O restante das fraturas foi fixado por aparafusamento direto com parafusos cachecóis.A comparação das técnicas de osteossíntese não mostrou diferença significativa em termos de dor e mobilidade, embora os parafusos Scarf tenham apresentado complicações um pouco mais frequentes.A forma de osteossíntese não influencia os resultados funcionais, clínicos e anatómicos
