Data la sua importanza nella costruzione della nazione e nella trasformazione economica, un sistema di trasporto pubblico mal gestito può influire negativamente sulle sorti economiche di uno Stato - uno Stato come Lagos. Da questo fatto, il presente libro si propone di trarre lezioni dal passato, in modo da riposizionare la gestione del trasporto pubblico a Lagos. Il presente documento adotta il metodo di indagine storico per esaminare la tesi. Nel complesso, il libro conclude che una rivisitazione dei vecchi metodi di esternalizzazione delle licenze di trasporto a società qualificate contribuirebbe a rendere attraente e a rafforzare il trasporto pubblico a Lagos.
