Es listet auch die ursprüngliche Forschungsarbeit auf, die zuerst als The Results of Excision of the Trapezium- Iyer, K.M. (1981) The Hand 13:246-250 erschien und auf die auch in Wheeless’ Textbook of Orthopaedics- wheelessonline.com- Osteoarthritis- CMC Arthritis- Excision of the Trapezium verwiesen wird. Darin werden auch die Entwicklung der Behandlung und die alternativen Möglichkeiten zur Behandlung dieser Erkrankung aufgeführt. Bis heute (7.10.2017) habe ich 30 Referenzen und 21 Zitate gefunden. Alle Einzelheiten können auf meiner Website kmohaniyer.com eingesehen werden. Inspiriert wurde ich von meinem verehrten Lehrer, dem verstorbenen Geoffrey V. Osborne, dem das Buch gewidmet ist, und meiner Familie.
