Embora os SPACs tenham dominado brevemente os mercados de IPO dos EUA , muitos não conseguiram concluir as fusões e foram liquidados. Usando regressão logística em um conjunto de dados de SPACs desse período, o estudo identifica os principais fatores de liquidação, incluindo excesso de oferta, baixa qualidade do alvo e desalinhamento patrocinador-investidor. Os resultados fornecem informações sobre os pontos fracos estruturais do modelo SPAC e informam os investidores, patrocinadores e reguladores sobre os riscos associados.
