Cette étude traite du transfert du discours didactique des contes guidar vers le français, en réponse à l’absence d’études traductologiques sur la littérature orale africaine. Deux objectifs ont été poursuivis : analyser l’inscription du discours didactique dans ces contes et illustrer les techniques de traduction mobilisables. La méthode de Berman (1995) a guidé la collecte des données, et l’analyse de 50 extraits s’est appuyée sur la grille de Losenje (2022), le modèle de Lambert et Van Gorp (1985), et le *tertium comparationis* de Krüger et Wallmach (1997). Le discours didactique se manifeste au niveau macrotextuel (titre, couvertures, résumé, structure, genre, style, éditeur) et microtextuel (concepts, culture sociale, monolingue). Les stratégies traductives révèlent 56 % d’étrangéisation contre 44 % de domestication, avec une prédominance de la traduction littérale (52 %), suivie de l’expansion, transposition, reformulation, etc. Ces résultats montrent les exigences du texte source et la fidélité du message transféré.
