Il libro è il frutto della tesi di laurea magistrale dell’autrice e affronta la pratica dell’asepsi attraverso l’insegnamento dell’igiene delle mani (nella formazione dello studente) come preparazione al lavoro. L’igiene delle mani è una delle pratiche asettiche insegnate nei primi periodi dei corsi di salute, ancor prima di entrare in laboratorio; la sua importanza e la sua tecnica sono discusse in classe, ed è richiesta durante tutto il percorso formativo dello studente presso l’istituto scolastico e nel campo di tirocinio. Il lavoro ha sottolineato l’integrazione tra insegnamento e servizio nell’ambito del campo di tirocinio, scelto come ospedale pubblico per l’insegnamento e l’apprendimento. Dalla teoria alla pratica, porta la riflessione, nell’ambiente ospedaliero, dall’insegnamento in aula alla pratica del tirocinio.
