In un contesto di globalizzazione, l’imprenditoria femminile è sempre più assimilata quasi automaticamente a una necessità imprenditoriale motivata dall’obbligo di creare la propria impresa per uscire dalla precarietà e dalla povertà. Così, l’imprenditorialità di sopravvivenza occupa un posto centrale in tutte le società africane. Basta passeggiare per i mercati e gli spazi pubblici africani per esserne convinti. Questa dicotomia povertà/imprenditorialità è al centro di tutte le riflessioni. È difficile quantificare statisticamente l’importanza dell’imprenditorialità di sopravvivenza in tutto il mondo. In particolare, l’Africa e l’Asia sfuggono a qualsiasi statistica reale. Infatti, la realizzazione di pratiche imprenditoriali da parte delle donne è modellata dal loro ambiente familiare, religioso, economico, ma anche politico. Questo è dimostrato da una moltitudine di studi di ricerca. Tuttavia, sembra utile mettere in discussione questo lavoro nel contesto maghrebino e saheliano per esplorare nuovi modi di rilanciare l’imprenditoria femminile in questo spazio regionale.
