Torn Apart is the second book of a series of three written about the experiences of a young Green Beret Sergeant who was a member of a team that commanded a secret mercenary army established under the cloak of the CIA. The backdrop for the series is the Vietnam War, but the war is secondary to the underlying story. The many twists and turns in the double life led by Chief, the main character, will keep the reader guessing as to what comes next. The intrigue of his clever manipulation of his benefactors and the lavish lifestyle he established in the city as he falls in love with a beautiful girl will melt the heart of any romantic. You will feel the emotional agony and fear of the young couple as they transition between the hell of a raging battle zone and their opulent life in the city.
