Norty, a wood elf and an enchantress, and her protector, Finglas-now her husband-anxiously await the birth of their first child. Only time will tell which way she will go for good.Nortee appears to have a happy life-until the attacks began, leaving her mother in constant fear for the life of her daughter. With Norty’s mind locked from the world, she sets out on a vengeance trail to find the closest and dearest of friends-at least a few of whom could not be trusted. It seems an old foe of Norty, long since dead, still has influence from the grave; even so, help comes from an unexpected source-her people’s oldest and bitterest enemies.
