The book entitled 'To My Garden' is a collection of poems, parables and quotations. Also included in the book are some of my drawings that I thought would accompany several of the poems. Some of the poems could be considered 'Christian' while others are not. I think some poems should incite emotion in a reader and ideas. Ideas and emotion can go hand in hand but they don’t have to in poetry. I also think that poetry opens up the unconscious as well as comes from it. In other words a poem is an experience and not just a set of words arranged so a reader can 'get it.'
