Set in a world where magic is the norm and ’powers’ heal with their minds and the touch of their hands, Taz and Crystal Tazarian journey again onto the twisted road of life. On the moon that marks their thirtieth cycle of bonding, Crystal is struck in the head by lightning, which allows the broken memories of her alter life energy Lylith, to gain control of the body. Crystal’s mind is spelled into a crystal ball, meant to hold bad dreams. That single moment leads Taz and Crystal down a path of pain and emotional strife. It is a voyage that leads to a heartbreaking destination with no hope for redemption. Lylith runs with Crystal’s flesh, teaming up with Asher, a long past enemy of the Tazarian family, who has been assumed dead. Together Lylith and Asher plot to undermine the family and also to have Asher’s ravished body repaired but the only healer capable of correcting such a massive injury, Taz. Hyla is engulfed by darkness so complete that life magic can’t be used. Without the energy to heal, the healers hands are tied when a sickness breaks out, and when Taz becomes ill, Crystal is left with no choice but to steal antibiotics from Earth. She returns with the medication to become Hyla’s savior, only to be spelling into a state where she steadily declines into an ill-tempered woman who stresses everyone’s patience to its limits. Filled with unexpected turns of excitement, laughter, suspense and tears, you won’t want to set it down.
