'This View of Life' is an illustrated book of philosophy for children and their elders. The title comes from the final sentence of Charles Darwin’s 'Origin of Species.' The book is comprised of 3 poems, all sing-songy and fun to read-aloud. 'O O So Long Ago' is about life-glorious-life emerging on a wet lonely planet - Earth. 'Darwin’s Darn Good Idea' recounts our evolutionary past as fishy creatures. 'Reduce, Reduce, Reduce' is a way to remember that Mother Earth is not endlessly vast; we must care for her well so she can continue taking care of us.
