'This Phoenix Still Rises' represents my admiration of the mythological bird in Greek mythology that burned itself to death and rose again as a new creature. Although I am a Christian and baptism represents 'becoming a new creature', the element of the rebirth of the Phoenix represents the multiple times I’ve faced adversity and defeat but rose again via perseverance. This work is a small compilation of my poetry from 1986 to 2008. I consider my poetry style 'Straight Bardism' which I self-describe as 'brief and straight to the point'. Enjoy my effort, Thank you.
