She is the wife of retired Reverend Wilbert Mills, Sr. who was pastor of the Warren Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Edenton, North Carolina for thirty-three years. As part of her role of being a pastor’s wife, she organized and directed faith-based programs for the church and the community. She has one living daughter, a deceased son, a granddaughter, and a son-in-law.
