The Wonderful World of Om takes the young reader to an imaginary parallel world where the difficulties of our own world just do not exist, because no one ever created them by making bad choices. However, things are not perfect in Om, and the young hero of the story, Sam Warner (aged eleven) is called upon to use his skills as a champion bowler to save the land from serious danger. It is never quite clear whether his journey to Om is no more than a dream or whether it arises from a mysterious combination of cosmic forces that have been set in motion to right the wrong that he has experienced.
