It is the story of The Windmill Inn, a structure that has evolved from being a farm that sold beer to the popular up market haven in Yorkshire where the clientele come from far and wide.Using information going back before WW2 and gathering personal memories going back as far as that, this story shows how the village pub has been in the past, and remains so in the present, the hub of village society.Robert Soper is an award winning writer on a variety of subjects and has been a client of The Windmill for sixty years. He has seen many iconic landlords and managers over those years as have so many of his friends who still gather there for a pint and a meal on a regular basis.
