Underrated and mostly forgotten, the Winchester Models 290 and 190 were part of Winchester’s production cost cutting moves of the early 1960s. Over 2 million rifles were produced, not including those sold by Sears as the Sears Model 3T and JC Higgins Model 3T. This book covers the history, operation, and basic maintenance of the entire family.
