The Whole Truth: A Talk With God is a collection of devotional I wrote between the ages of 33 and 37. Each devotional will activate within you the urge to pray and journal more; and help you understand that God is not a one stop and does not fit inside our rigid religious box. Written from the perspective of a Black single mother (myself), these devotionals reveal how talking to God empowered me to lean on Scripture, which enabled me to press through some moments I didn’t think I could manage. But now that I have seen the righteous forsaken and God’s seed begging for bread, my perspective has expanded. I see a deplorable socioeconomic society that would rather see a Black single mother sink than swim. Nevertheless, the God I serve not only listens attentively to our pleas, but also guides us on a path to gain the resources we need to pull up our bootstraps. I pray that this book will give you deeper insight on who God is and helps you understand that God wants to hear 'The Whole Truth.'
