Donna Reed of Fayetteville, Arkansas, had a dream. In the dream, she and her husband, David, were riding a motorcycle by a deserted farmhouse. As they approached the farmhouse, a frog jumped up on the rock wall and began barking like a vicious dog. The frog followed them throughout the house barking at their heels. At the end of the dream, David said, 'That frog sure is irritating,' and Donna excitedly said, 'David, David, don't you know? It is a Watchfrog!' Donna wrote the Watchfrog Story, the first book of the Watchfrog Fables, to describe how Watchfrog became a barking frog. 3
