The Wash

THE WASHA reporter. A black-ops ghost. A billion-dollar conspiracy. And a money trail someone will kill to erase.Investigative reporter Joan Ellison thought she had uncovered an elaborate immigration fraud scheme operating through a network of suburban Texas shell companies. She was wrong. What begins with suspicious H-1B visa applications, phantom IT companies, fake corporate addresses, and foreign workers trapped in fraudulent employment schemes quickly leads Joan into something far more dangerous: a sophisticated money-laundering operation designed to move millions of dollars through shell corporations, offshore accounts, fake payrolls, and legitimate-looking financial transactions. And someone is watching her. When professional killers come for Joan, a mysterious operative named Brill Wingfield steps out of the shadows.Brill isn’t a cop. He isn’t a bodyguard. And he isn’t interested in playing by the rules.A brutally efficient former intelligence operative, Brill has been sent to keep Joan alive long enough to expose the financial pipeline she’s discovered. But every answer uncovers another layer of the conspiracy-and every layer brings them closer to the people protecting the money.Soon Joan and Brill are running from military contractors, criminal fixers, corrupt financial operators, political power brokers, and a manufactured online mob being deliberately weaponized against the reporter. The deeper they dig, the more disturbing the truth becomes. The visa fraud isn’t the real operation. It’s the wash. The workers, shell companies, fake payrolls, offshore accounts, political connections, and carefully manufactured outrage are all pieces of a much larger machine designed to move dark money while hiding the people behind it.Now Joan has the evidence.Brill has the firepower. And the people behind the operation have one simple objective:Kill the reporter. Destroy the evidence. Burn the entire pipeline. From the rain-soaked streets of Dallas to suburban ghost companies, secret financial networks, Texas safe houses, political gatherings, and deadly ambushes, THE WASH is a fast-moving conspiracy thriller packed with investigative journalism, black ops, espionage, assassination attempts, money laundering, organized crime, political corruption, undercover operations, tactical action, and nonstop suspense. If you like hard-edged action thrillers, political conspiracy novels, investigative thrillers, covert-ops fiction, vigilante-style protagonists, ruthless assassins, financial conspiracies, and relentless cat-and-mouse suspense, you’ll want to follow Joan Ellison and Brill Wingfield all the way to the end.The money trail ends here.THE WASH.
