Life seemed pretty well laid out for her. She would remain in that small town she grew up in as all her relatives and friends did and never really be able to escape the cycle of poverty and hardship. Then when she was a teenager, a vision entered her mind which was to change her life forever. And that was the start of a journey that would take her halfway across the country, stopping in big cities and small towns, dealing with one tragedy after another, all the while clinging to her faith and hope for a better life that just seemed so elusive for so long. She had to live in crime-ridden neighborhoods and often had to work two jobs just to pay the bills. She also had to somehow overcome her shyness to work in a job she never thought she could do. And, in the end, she found that true happiness that she was sure God wanted for her.The author has written this book to give hope to others who might be experiencing a crisis in their life or a lack of faith that God is directing their path. People sometimes feel like they have lost their connection to God and that He has abandoned them. This book shows that if you keep believing in Him and never give up hope, even if it takes years, His love and goodness will come through, and you will triumph in the end.

We’ve been duped into removing prayer from the center of our churches and have placed it on the periphery or semi-periphery.  What we’re witnessing today in our churches, and in society at large, is that legacy of prayerlessness.  Church leadership may be hesitant and embarrassed to admit it, but there is a direct correlation between our spiritual weakness and our lack of corpo...

If God is good, why do we get sick? When God created the world, He declared: "It is good." But then came the Fall, and with it sickness and death. In this heart-tugging monograph, Dr. Davis McGuirt draws from both his training in theology and the personal agony of watching his father die from cancer to provide a variety of biblical reasons for why we get sick. We are also remin...
