Readers will also gain knowledge of Vietnamese cultural symbols and the symbolic meanings of many Vietnamese New Year Tet dishes.This book tells a heart-warming story of Minh Hien and her parents and their close associations. The book provides a brief history of Viet Nam and ample materials on Vietnamese culture, heritage, entertainments and food and the war in which the Australians became heavily involved. Also lighter topics of embroidery and dresses are covered with photographs of beautiful ao dai, the traditional costume for Vietnamese women. and the Vietnamese food, presented along with elucidation of their salient features, cultural symbols and their symbolic meanings.It is released on 21 September 2024 to celebrate the International Day of Peace.
