This book is written in the hoped of sharing the joys found in the study of mathematics. Mathematics can help us unlock the mysteries of our universe, but beyond that, conquering math’s can be personally satisfying. This book is unique in that it has covered the topics unlike other books on the market using the structured approach. The format of the book is different from most textbooks. The use of the structured approach brings a new dimension to mathematics. This book is not recommended as a substitute for other mathematics textbooks, but as an additional learning tool that can assist math’s students. On its own, the book is not a recipe for success in mathematics. The key to success in math’s is a regular practice and constant revision. The book can be tackled in any way as the user sees fit. The arrangement of the topics does not signify that they should be necessarily covered in the order as presented. However, to obtain maximum benefit from the book all the topics should be covered thoroughly. The emphasis in this book is different from most books in the genre for the following reasons: Firstly, the structured approach makes, students realize how easy it is to perform mathematical operations and computations. Secondly and more fundamental, the structured approach is not being applied because it does not occur to the student to use it. Thirdly, and tragically, no one in their educational experience has stressed the importance of applying it. Fourth, it presents new terminology that has not yet been applied in math before. Fifth, it contains an unusually large number of questions per topic that are fresh, original and challenging at the same time. Finally, due to lack of knowledge, no one teaches the structured approach in the same way this book will show. The Untold Story of Mathematics aims to complement to a lesser extent, the contributions that these men and women have made. The legacy that these great mathematicians have made need to be preserved and maintained for future generations to benefit from, this being the main reason I wrote this book. The material covered in this book dates back from the Medieval Period to the modern era. This book revisits popular concepts packaging them in an entirely different format to satisfy the needs of the math student in the modern era. Bearing this in mind it is the desire of the author to rekindle the interest in math from the students –itself a tough challenge. As George Bernard Shaw once said, “A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.”

Set in the genre of a children’s book, John and Betty trace the evolutionof complex numbers and explore their operations. From integers, tofractions, to surds, complex numbers are made to seem like an obviousextension. Incorporating graphing on the complex number plane andculminating in De Moivre’s Theorem, the logic of complex numbers ismade to seem intuitive and simple. John ...

Historically, the notion of entropy emerged in conceptually very distinct contexts. This book deals with the connection between entropy, probability, and fractional dynamics as they appeared, for example, in solar neutrino astrophysics since the 1970's (Mathai and Rathie 1975, Mathai and Pederzoli 1977, Mathai and Saxena 1978, Mathai, Saxena, and Haubold 2010).The original ...

The book first explains the main properties of analytic functions in order to use them in the study of various problems in p-adic value distribution. Certain properties of p-adic transcendental numbers are examined such as order and type of transcendence, with problems on p-adic exponentials. Lazard's problem for analytic functions inside a disk is explained. P-adic meromo...

La vida cotidiana está llena de situaciones que exigen tomar decisiones. Pero las probabilidades no son números simples asociados objetiva o subjetivamente a los eventos, como nos podría parecer, y el cálculo y el uso que le damos están e...
