When one thinks of the sacrifice that Jesus made for mankind’s salvation, the mind automatically goes to the cross on Calvary, His bloody face from the crown of thorns, His nail-pierced hands and feet, and His cut side from which flowed blood and water. We think of His burial tomb and the spices and fabric used to wrap Him, and we think of that glorious resurrection morning. These things are the center of the history of the world, the focus of all of history, and certainly the center of a Christian’s life. But when we stop at the resurrection of Jesus in thinking of His sacrifice, we stop far too short. This book’s purpose is to open the readers eyes not only to the multitude of sacrifices that Jesus made, but to the ultimate sacrifice that is almost always overlooked with its life-changing power.
