Synopsis: The Ugly Feeling by Bea L. Hines is more than just a children’s book-it’s an emotional toolkit wrapped in a story. Focused on the often unspoken emotion of jealousy, Hines approaches the topic with empathy, gentle humour, and a message that resonates across all ages.Through clear, sincere language and endearing illustrations by Mary Anne Holliday, the book helps children identify 'ugly' feelings and replace them with confidence, empathy, and joy. It teaches important lessons: celebrate others, honour your own worth, and choose kindness-even when it’s hard. While written for young girls, The Ugly Feeling speaks to anyone who’s ever felt small in someone else’s shadow. In a world of constant comparison, this book is a breath of fresh air, reminding readers that growth begins with self-understanding. It’s a small book with a powerful message that stays with you long after the last page.Autobiography:About the AuthorBea L.
