Greshem Whitaker is full of energy working in a museum in London, England as a young apprentice in 1923. Often his energy and quirky ways can be misunderstood, and this time it finds a breaking point when his boss sends him on a 1-year field assignment to the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee to investigate some peculiar findings. The comfort of his regular daily routine is thrown into a whirlwind of unexpected adventure when he starts his long journey to the Appalachian Mountains of the American Southlands. During his assignment, Greshem discovers the mysterious beauty of the Appalachians, and learns more about who he is as a young man. Not everything in life is predictable or easy to attain, but that doesn’t stop him from trying to complete his mission. Only time will tell if he will succeed on The Smokies Project.
