The Simple Side is a collection of devotions written for each day of the year based first on scripture, and second on many personal experiences in life. It truly is a walk through life and the lessons we can learn from our Heavenly Father. Debbie believes that with every experience in life, God teaches a lesson. This devotion is an ordinary woman’s take on living life the simple way; no fancy words or deep theological debates are up for discussion as you read these daily devotions and allow God to speak to your heart. Because so many are based on life experiences, you will find yourself crying as well as laughing, as Debbie shares what God showed her each day in her own unique voice. Shucks, she may have even used words that aren’t! Her prayer is that it will bless your heart and encourage you to believe with everything you have, that walking with Jesus is the best life ever.Debbie Hopperton Wills lives with her husband of 37 years, 'Farmer' Bud, on the family farm in Piner Ky. She is a Mom of three grown sons, a Mother-in-Law of three daughters, and Mamaw of 10 grandchildren; and enjoys every minute of it. She loves the Lord and is active in Bethesda Community Church where she teaches 1st and 2nd grade in Sunday School. Debbie is about as ordinary and simple as you can get. She is co-owner of Precious Curls Hair Bows, which she calls her therapy. She loves camping, fishing, gardening, their two horses Abbey and Yankee, and most of all spending time with her precious family. You can continue to follow Debbie at The Simple Side on Facebook where she continues to share Daily Devotions.

We’ve been duped into removing prayer from the center of our churches and have placed it on the periphery or semi-periphery.  What we’re witnessing today in our churches, and in society at large, is that legacy of prayerlessness.  Church leadership may be hesitant and embarrassed to admit it, but there is a direct correlation between our spiritual weakness and our lack of corpo...

If God is good, why do we get sick? When God created the world, He declared: "It is good." But then came the Fall, and with it sickness and death. In this heart-tugging monograph, Dr. Davis McGuirt draws from both his training in theology and the personal agony of watching his father die from cancer to provide a variety of biblical reasons for why we get sick. We are also remin...
